Martin Wolske, Senior Research Scientist for the Center for Digital Inclusion (CDI) and adjunct lecturer at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS), has completed the redesign of the computer lab located on the second floor of the Urbana Free Library. The lab redesign is intended to support the diverse needs of lab users. Preliminary redesign plans derived from Wolske’s Community Informatics Studio class through which students created partnerships with local community organizations and libraries to design, apply, and lead technology workshops that addressed the needs of each institution’s technology use.  The planning and building  of the lab occurred over the course of several months and with the help of numerous volunteers; the lab is complete!
