Librarians as Engagement Leaders

We invite you to us for a special event cosponsored and hosted by the Rockford Public Library, on Friday, November 21, at the J.R. Sullivan Theater in Rockford, Illinois.

Martin Wolske, senior research scientist, will give a talk highlighting the ways GSLIS is providing support to librarian engagement leaders at Kenwood Elementary School in Champaign and at The Urbana Free Library. As part of this experience, GSLIS students are able to advance their leadership skills while supporting the leadership of librarians in the field. Community stakeholders such as teachers, librarians, and those working with family-related social services should attend. Learn how to engage your community leaders at this transformative event.

A reception and light meal will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP to the GSLIS Advancement Office by Wednesday, November 19.
